Voter registration deadline
Monday, October 19, 2026You can apply online until 11:59 p.m. that day. Mailed applications must be received by your county voter registration office by the deadline, and paper or in-person applications are accepted only during county office hours.
Until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (start date varies by county)Pennsylvania does not have early voting like many other states. Instead, once your county's ballots are ready, you can apply for, fill out, and hand in a mail ballot in one visit to your county election office or other designated location. Start dates vary by county.
Received by your county election office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026Any registered voter can get a mail-in ballot without giving a reason. You can apply online, by mail, or in person at your county election office.
Received by your county election office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026A postmark is not enough. You can also drop off your completed ballot in person at your county election office or other designated location until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
